Solange fooled us for a nanosecond . . .

Oh, poo.

Turns out Solange is not letting the public watch as her hair grows out natural, as much as I had hoped. She was seen rocking this wig at this party for Dita Von Teese.

Tay (Blog: Something Different), you were right.

Inhale . . . LARGE SIGH / LETDOWN.

she talked alot of shit on twitter today bout "being release by the bondage that black women treat their hair as" or some shit, but at the same time she still confines herself to the "bondage" because when she is in the public eye she still gets the more european look slapped on her head with her wigs. I love solange's attitude and her music but she has to pick a side of the fence.

Oh, i WAS right. lol
And I checked out Solanges twitter page...

Her tweets make her sound fake as hell...esp when she complains about how people talk about her hair more than they talk about the iran election--she still manages to sound selfglorifying. Look at me, I care about Iran and cut my hair. Im soooo different, bald with a bleeding heart!

Then I put my wig back on...and mention IRAN again--tho I havnt said anything worthwhile about the subject. And the fact that she tweets she doesnt care about what others think like 10 times in the same hour just makes her look stupid and insecure.

she was cool before i read all that shit

solange needs to stop for real. there was no need to even make a response to the hoopla because she's a walking contradiction right now.

if she was for real, she would have grabbed some earrings, done her makeup and attended that party rocking that new do like she was the bizness. Freeing yourself from bondage, my ass. Chicks like Amber Rose have her looking real stupid right now.

as much as i think everybody can do whatever they want OBVIOUSLY, i think this might have been a way for her to get in the spotlight for a good reason & with a powerful message.
its still a fact that anything that alters your hair, is not what's best for you whether you colour it, curl it, relaxe it... whether you're white/black/green or whatever. That doesn't mean you have to ban any of this or think that noone should do it. It's just a choice!
