Javier Bardem Alert! Starring in Steven King's "The Dark Tower," Adaptation

Sexy man Javier Bardem is set to star in Steven King's movie adaptation of his book series, "The Dark Tower!

Javier Bardem is close to signing a deal to play the role of Roland Deschain in the film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower. King’s massive Dark Tower series spans seven novels and will be split up between three movies and a TV mini-series in between each film. Ron Howard is set to direct both the first film and the first part of the television series.

The Dark Tower saga is a stark departure from King’s normal work, bringing to mind a western by way of J.R.R. Tolkien. Deschain, the central figure throughout each book, is the last member of a long lineage of gunslingers tasked with saving the world by finding the Dark Tower.

Bardem recently wrapped filming a still-untitled film directed by Terrence Malick and he's also being pursued by MGM to play the villain in the next James Bond installment, to be directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Road To Perdition).

Oh, God. He's such a dreamy man, I swear by it. I'm down for the punch. And what is this about being James Bond's villain?!

Stephen King, I find him interesting not because I am a fan of horror, but because I had a chance to read a part of one of his novels. His unique writing style is attractive and well organized to draw you in for what's next. Here though I am really fascinated about learning of the people this blogger finds interesting because of my own interest in certain people and stories. Continue on your quest to feed the masses. The streets is watching.

Thanks for your comment! Much appreciated.

I actually have a Stephen King book at home that I have yet to read, due to me wanting to save it for a rainy day and some cookie dough ice cream. But anything with a unique writing style is worth the read. Thanks for informing me :)
